This ones for Jake...

Well, this is my HoPe bracelet.(sorry for the blurry pic...i had to take with my phone to even get the crazy thing on the computer!!) My first of several purchases to benefit our local Relay For Life...My little $3 bracelet that I wear all the time because it reminds me of Jake.
Jake...This is what comes to mind when I hear that name- Silly goose, hilarious, little brother to Hunter&Hayden,Staci&Dons son, Maddi's big brother, Ellie Sue's cousin, Mo's nephew,JinJin's grandson, St. Jude, "Hairplanes",Green m&m's,Stanton,EmmaGrace,Todd,Nana Raborn,4-wheelers,fighter, and most importantly, BeLiEvEr.
Those are all words that I think of when I think of Jake. Notice the last one-
"and most importantly, BeLiEvEr." That is oh-so-true. Jake fought harder than anybody I know, and eventually he DID beat his battle with Hepatoblastoma. It wasn't in the way we'd all hoped for, but he beat it!! He had more HoPe than most of us do!
That is why when I wear my HoPe bracelet, I think of Jake.
If you visit Jakes site, and know (well, know through the website!)the family, you know that anything "11" makes his family, and all the rest of us BeLiEvErS think of him... The last 2 nights, I have looked at the clock, and you guessed it- It has been 11:11. I never got the chance to meet Jake, but I feel as if I have known him forever!! My favorite "Jake-memory" was watching the video of him jumping on the couch singing "Live Like You Were Dying" by Tim McGraw. He was really belting it out! The other day, I was on my way to a meeting, and the song came on...then I looked at the clock and it was 11:11am, and then my phone rang, which rings that same song...It happened to be a really rotten, rainy day, and it really cheered me up to hear that song and then see Jake's number!

Moving on... I have finally figured it out! I figured out that Photoshop puts the pictures in a totally different folder titled "Adobe". Duh! Why didn't I think of that earlier?I wanted to scream! I had waited for fourteen forevers and downloaded the pics on someone elses computer only to find them!!

Lesli&Lexi, here are the promised pictures of little miss Maggie in her coat! That was the day after snow and it was free-eee-zing out there! The snow had all melted at that point, but she would NOT go outside without me, so I stood in the garage in shorts and a t-shirt with no socks on waiting for her to do her thing- of course she just stands in the garage with me whining to go back in! SO- loving her the way I do, I go out in the yard and wait with her. So then she decides she's through and is ready to go in...so back in we go...she then decides that she needs to go out again and comes to get me...so I sent her out ALONE that time...I guess that's what you'll do for your dog when you have nothing better to do with your time! lol!

I'm off to drag down suitcases for the trip (more about that later!)

Have a great week!
Hannah

Awwwwww... I love it! Thanks for remembering him! In my post, I talk about jewelry I am making. Be looking for another one that has three strands of beads and a "HOPE" pendant. I think it turned out pretty cool. I love that people around the world think of Jake when they hear "his" song and see those 11's. Thanks again. Mo
